What
is the purpose of the concentration procedure?
The
purpose of the concentration is to concentrate the parasites
present, using either sedimentation or flotation. The concentration
is specifically designed to allow recovery of protozoan cysts,
coccidian oocysts, microsporidian spores and helminth eggs
