Trichrome
stain
- Chromotrope
2R 0.6 g

Light green SF 0.3 g
-
Phosphotungstic acid 0.7 g

Acetic acid (glacial) 1.0 ml

Distilled water 100 ml
1.
Prepare the stain by adding 1.0 ml of acetic acid to the
dry components. Allow the mixture to stand (ripen) for 15
to 30 min at room temperature.
2.
Add 100 ml of distilled water. Properly prepared stain will
be purple in color.
