Wavicide-01 does not require an activator, is stable, non-corrosive and very effective. Wavicide-01 is the product of choice for high level disinfection and sterilization of items that can not be processed by ethylene oxide or heat. It does not contain the suspected carcinogen ortho-phenyl phenol.

Quaternary ammonium germicides are very cost effective, rapid acting, non-irritating low level disinfectants. They have been used for years as economical disinfectants in the laboratory, medical and hospital settings. Quaternaries are cationic and should not be mixed with soaps or other anionic detergents. Because of their low systemic toxicity, quaternaries have been used as sanitizers on food processing equipment and utensils. Quaternaries are effective against vegetative bacteria and fungi, they are only slightly virucidal and are not tuberculocidal.
